The course provides an introduction to the principles and methods of physics for freshmen interested in science and engineering. Emphasis is placed on the integration of scientific reasoning and problem solving. We cover Newton's laws, work and energy, rotation, vibration, fluids, waves, theory of relativity, and thermodynamics.
