Welcome message:

Welcome to the 2012 Hangzhou Workshop on Quantum Matter.

The workshop is organized by the recently established International Collaborative Center on Quantum Matter (ICC-QM), a collaborative entity of Zhejiang University, Rice University, Max-Planck Institute for the Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden, and London Centre for Nanotechnology. It will be the fourth in the series of Hangzhou Workshops on Quantum Matter. Information on the previous workshops can be found at the following websites: 2009, 2010, and 2011.

This year, the workshop intends to cover a broad range of topics in the area of strongly correlated quantum systems. The topics of interest include unconventional superconductivity, quantum phase transitions, and topological states of matter.

The workshop will be held jointly with the Sino-German Bilateral Workshop on Emergent Phases in Correlated and Topological Matter, also in Hangzhou. It will also be followed by a one-day tutorial program on Noncentrosymmetric Superconductors on April 6, 2012.
