The 1st International Workshop Hangzhou 2004 November 5 - 7, 2004 Hangzhou 310027, ChinaThis
workshop intended to be parallel in nature to the one organized by the Center
for Simulational Physics at The University of Georgia in Topics of
interest include There will
be invited talks (30-60 mins) and contributing talks (20 mins). The number of
participants is expected to be about 40. No registration fee will be charged,
and a double room costs $22 (200 yuan) per night. Two students may share a
double room with two beds. Lunches and a banquet will be offered by the
workshop. The afternoon of Nov. 7 will be for sightseeing, and an extra
one-day tour
to Zhou-Zhuang
(周庄) will be organized
on Nov. 8. If you like to present a talk, please give the title and possible abstract. Graduate student participation is encouraged, and 10 fellowships for students are available for accommodation. Please send the CV and publication list for application. The deadline for receiving the application is Oct. 15. After the deadline hotel rooms and fellowships are not guaranteed.

Seats in the conference hall are reserved for registered participants.
Accommodation: Rooms in Yuquan hotel are reserved. A double room costs $24 (200 yuan) per night. Two students may share a double room with two beds.
On Nov. 4, after 14:00, a registration desk will be set up in the lobby of Yuquan hotel. Participants arriving earlier may directly check-in the hotel first.
Some participants may be arranged in other hotels. In this case, messages will be sent to inform you.

Other hotels are just around the main gate of Yuquan Campus, Zhejiang Univ.
Board and tours:
The workshop offers lunches from Nov. 5 - 7, and a banquet in the evening of Nov. 5. Around the main gate of Yuquan Campus, there is a variety of restaurants for dinners. A festival for traditional Chinese foods is celebrated in Huanglong Sport Center (黄龙体育中心,杭州市黄龙路1号) around Zhejiang University from Nov. 1 - 7. Participants may also join the conference dinners from Nov. 4 - 7 with 100 Yuan.
There will be a tour to West Lake in the afternoon of Nov. 7, and it is free. An extra one-day tour to Zhou-Zhuang (周庄) will be organized on Nov. 8, one needs to pay the 60-yuan entrance ticket (except for speakers supported with all the local expense), and the lunch, dinner and transportation will be covered by the workshop.

0. On Nov. 4, a mini bus is arranged by the workshop at the Hangzhou airport, departing from the airport to the hotels at 12:40, 14:20, 16:30.

There is a bus connection from the airport to about $12. The last bus departs at 19:30. If someone arrives in the the evening of Nov. 4, please inform us and a car or a mini-bus will be arranged.

3. Inside Hangzhou, it costs about $1 - $3 to reach anywhere by taxi.

Return tickets:
Anyone who needs a return ticket may ask for help on the registration desk.
Conference hall:
10 minutes by walking from the main gate of Yuquan Campus. At 07:40 of Nov. 4, a student will lead you to the conference hall from Yuquan hotel and Lily hotel.
Visas: Anyone who needs a letter of invitation for a visa should provide a Fax number
and a surface-mail address.
