Welcome to the group of condensed matter theory in the Zhejiang Institute of Modern Physics at Zhejiang University.
Condensed matter physics is a very broad and perhaps the largest area of physics. The focus of our group is on quantum physics of materials. Our research projects are constantly evolving, but always cover some of the most frontier topics, which are of fundamental importance or related to emergent phenomena. Current research interest includes quantum many-body systems with strong correlation and/or disorder, such as superconductivity, mesoscale and nanoscale physics, quantum magnetism, and topological aspects in condensed matter, etc. Multi-ferroelectrics, ultra-cold atoms, non-equilibrium physics, quantum entanglement, and topological quantum computation are also among our interest. More information on our research activities can be found under the faculty listings.
Our group is vibrant with highly motivated faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students, as well as talented undergraduates. Meanwhile, we are deeply committed to excellent education to help our students develop their careers and realize their professional goals. Openings for postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduate students are available regularly.
